Wouter Scheepens is founder and partner of Steward Redqueen.
After completing a law degree (Tilburg 1983-1989), he worked for nearly 12 years at ABN AMRO Bank in commercial and policy support positions (assistant secretary of the Managing Board and assistant to the chairman as well as senior vice president of Brand & Reputation Management). His responsibilities included developing the Business Principles and he also initiated the bank’s strategic and structured approach to corporate social responsibility.

For many years, Wouter has been active as an advisor to companies and other organisations with a particular focus on the interaction between the corporate sector and society. As a partner of Steward Redqueen, he advises numerous multinationals and other companies in the Netherlands and abroad. His clientele also includes governments. And thanks to his background in the financial sector, he does a lot of work in the area of development finance.

Wouter has post-doctoral Master’s degrees in Management and Organisation as well as Corporate Communications from TIAS/Tilburg University and Rotterdam’s Erasmus University, respectively. He speaks fluent Dutch and English, and has a basic knowledge of German and French.
