Silvia is an expert in climate and development finance

Silvia Binet is a Manager with specific expertise on climate change and development in emerging markets. She focusses on developing and evaluating climate adaptation and just transition approaches for a broad range of clients, including global climate finance mechanisms and development finance institutions. She is based in the Netherlands.

Silvia has experience advising commercial banks, investors and other financial sector players integrating development impact and climate considerations in their operations. In addition, she helps clients quantifying and evaluating their socio-economic and climate impact. In her work she integrates value chain analysis and economic modelling.

Before joining Steward Redqueen, Silvia was a trainee at the European Commission Joint Research Centre, in the Directorate for Energy, Climate and Transport. Prior to that she attended a Climate-KIC professional development program. Silvia holds a MSc and BSc in Chemistry from the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne with a specialization on energy technologies for a sustainable transition. She is fluent in English, Italian, French, Spanish and has a basic knowledge of German.
