Socio-Economic Impact Assessments for Hijos de Rivera
We conducted several Socio-Economic Impact Assessments for Hijos de Rivera in Spain and Galicia
In 2025, Steward Redqueen delivered its fifth socio-economic impact assessment for Corporación Hijos de Rivera, a leading Spanish beverage company. The study quantified the Corporation’s contribution to the Spanish and Galician economies, offering a comprehensive view of its direct, indirect, and induced impacts across the value chain.
Working closely with the Corporation’s corporate affairs, operations and sustainability teams, we analysed procurement, employment, sales, and financial data from Hijos de Rivera and its affiliated entities. Using an input-output methodology grounded in academic research, we estimated the Corporation’s support for employment and value added. The results highlighted the Corporation’s role not only as a major employer and taxpayer, but also as a key driver of local economic development through its supplier and retail networks.
The findings were shared with internal and external stakeholders, including through public-facing events in Galicia and other regions. These engagements helped Hijos de Rivera reinforce its commitment to transparency and regional development, while providing evidence-based narratives to support policy dialogue and strategic planning.
