For our work we rely on four core competencies:

  • Implementation of sustainability and impact in operational processes and strategies;
  • Building capacity and providing training on sustainability and economic studies/outcomes;
  • Development of software solutions to enable efficient management of sustainability and impact.

Our clients vary from multinationals such as Heineken and Coca-Cola to financial institutions such as the African Development Bank and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), and societal organizations such as the Council for Refugees.

We are headquartered in Amsterdam and have offices in Singapore and Washington, DC. This position is for the Washington, DC office.

The role

We are seeking an Associate to support our socio-economic impact analysis engagements. You will be responsible for:

  • Model development: designing standard or novel socio-economic impact models;
  • Impact analysis: analyzing organizations’ socio-economic impact performance by converting data into insights, informing strategic decision-making;
  • Narrative crafting: transforming hard impact numbers into compelling narratives to communicate complex information in a digestible manner, including the creation of clear and concise written materials for clients (e.g. proposals, client reports, and presentations)

Your work will rely substantially on:

  • Data science, quantitative methods, and solid knowledge of Excel and/or programming languages like Python, R, and SQL;

  • Knowledge of cutting-edge generative AI offerings in the market (e.g. MS Copilot and other AI tools).
  • Strong knowledge of MS suite including PowerPoint, Excel and Word.

While socio-economic impact studies will be your primary focus, we work in many other areas of sustainability. Given the project pipeline, you could participate in other kinds of projects, such as evaluations, impact investing frameworks, sustainability trainings, etc.

The profile

We are seeking an entrepreneurial, early-career professional, with two years or less of working experience. Relevant internship/work experience is appreciated but not required.

As our next colleague, you will have:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset;
  • Flexibility and comfort working in dynamic or ambiguous situations;
  • Belief in Steward Redqueen’s mission and have affinity with the firm’s focus and activities.

We are looking for a candidate based in the Washington, DC area. US work authorization is required.
