Sustainability strategy for Holland Casino
Holland Casino, the Dutch state-owned casino, is dedicated to being a responsible and sustainable gambling operator by generating value for its stakeholders and society. To ensure alignment with the most current standards and expectations, Holland Casino seeks to refine its sustainability strategy and align its reporting with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
To help Holland Casino meet regulatory requirements, Steward Redqueen facilitated a series of internal discussions to gain deep insights into the company’s goals and assess their feasibility within Holland Casino’s operations. This process allowed us to develop a clear and cohesive sustainability strategy built around three strategic pillars, each with distinct targets, ensuring alignment with both CSRD requirements and the company’s broader business objectives. We then integrated this strategy with valuable insights from external stakeholders to refine and enhance the double materiality assessment. This process enabled us to validate and revise the identified material impacts, risks and opportunities, ensuring they are comprehensive, relevant, and aligned with Holland Casino’s broader sustainability objectives.
In addition, our support extended to establishing a robust governance structure to embed accountability and clear decision-making around sustainability within the organisation. Finally, we designed a comprehensive supplier due diligence framework to proactively manage risks and align the supply chain with Holland Casino’s core values and commitment to responsible business.
