Strategic review of the World Benchmarking Alliance
We executed a strategic review of the first years of operations of the World Benchmarking Alliance
The World Benchmarking Alliance (WBA) was launched in 2018 to generate real change in the way that business impact is measured. WBA now is the largest corporate benchmarking initiative globally. WBA develops a series of benchmarks assessing 2,000 of the world’s most influential companies, ranking and measuring them on their contributions to the SDGs. After two years of fast growth, WBA asked Steward Redqueen to independently evaluate the first years of operations.
The evaluation analyses progress, accomplishments, and challenges. We specifically highlighted the importance of engagement and WBA’s complementary role in the space. Based on this analysis, lessons learnt and actionable recommendations and guidance for the future were provided. The results were introduced and discussed in interactive sessions with investors and the own organisation. The results helped WBA to be accountable to its funding partners and Alliance members, to sharpen its approach and to define priorities for the years to come.
